The Gulf Stream Regatta 2019 had 11 entrants with 4 boats from HISC. The weather was blowing East 15-20kts, with 4-6 ft seas. It took 2 of our HISC boats two hours to make it to Ft. Lauderdale for the start. There were 2 races that were run for the Regatta and the Race Committee was in a power boat, assisted by a mark boat setting the marks for the races. That was a challenge due to the state of the seas. There was a delay of race while the mark boat set all the marks. In the meantime, about 3 boats coming out of Ft. Lauderdale Inlet from GSC, dropped out of the race.
