On Saturday, January 31, 2026, HISC is hosting their annual Chili Cookoff from 12-4pm at 3000 NE 48th Ct., Lighthouse Point. This is the clubhouse of Rear Commodore, Bruce Guttler.
Please come out and sample the club’s hottest, sweetest, finest and most delicious chili – then vote for your favorite!

- Defend your title?
THEN REGISTER AS A CHILI COMPETITOR! (Gives us an idea of how much chili we will have)
- Don’t want to make any stinking chili, but will bring a sidedish.
THEN REGISTER AS A TASTE TESTER ONLY! (Please bring a side or dessert)
Prizes will be awarded in two categories: judges’ favorites and people’s choice, as follows:
- Judges 1st Place: Trophy
- People’s Choice: Bragging Rights
Contestants are responsible for:
- Chili in a crock pot
- Ladle (bowls & spoons will be provided)
- List of ingredients (not recipes or measurements)
