HISC Racing
HISC organizes Spring and Fall series races each year. We hold at least one coastal race per month with the races either being long standing traditional races with perpetual trophies or new fun races meant to get every boat off the dock and onto the water.
Our racing program is designed to be user friendly. We try to set courses that are challenging and fair to all competitors. We want our club members to race their boats, be competitive no matter what their skill level and not forget to have fun on the water. We run our races by the current 2025-2028 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) for safety and general principles, while having fun and enjoying the basic goals of getting out on the water and improving skills.
Our monthly calendar lists all the scheduled races and Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions are sent via email to all members prior to the race.
The goal of our races is to allow boat owners and crew to have fun, learn how to improve their boat handling skills, organize friendly competitions and learn how racing makes you a better sailor while having fun.
