2023 Holiday Party

The 2023 HISC Holiday party held at Deer Creek golf club was well attended and seemed to be a success based on the smiling face and dancing.

The Social committee had fun preparing for the party. A trial run night was held a few weeks prior to the party to test out ideas for decorations and taste test cocktails for Christine’s Bee Ella Fizz rental cart.

Dinner, Cocktails, pliers, screwdrivers Christmas balls and decorations and water beads were strewn across the dining room table. We figured out how to decorate with water beads in vase and also how unruly working with water beads can be. The little buggers bounce really well!

A few nights prior to the party, a few members of the Social committee gathered to construct the vases and enjoy dinner and cocktails. The vases were ready to go, and the final touches would happen prior to the party.

Thursday afternoon four of use met at Deer Creek and after a bit of an unexpected delay and a nip of Christine’s caramel apple flavored concoction to steady our nerves, the decorating began. The tables transformed into beautifully decorated platforms and the room looked festive and ready for a party.

DJ Gringo arrived at 5, settled in, projected our burgee and prepared for the evening. The DJ did a great job with the music selection and people’s requests. We had a personal request from Gary Terwilliger with an unexpected, unforgettable performance?

Santa made an appearance and handed out gifts and spread cheer!
