Veterans mini cruise May 3 with Freedom Waters Foundation.
Release your inspiration...
On Friday, October 3rd Victor, from Freedom Waters Foundation, coordinated our second boating outing.
Our first was with a family with a child with a disability and this past mini cruise was with Veterans.
Boats Lady Grey, Barry and Jaime, and Aireze, Bruce and Linda coordinated to meet Victor's group of veterans at the Lighthouse Point Marine fuel dock, now named PORT 32 Lighthouse Point Marina. Victor said the marina was very welcoming for the group to use their floating dock, which is very helpful.
The veterans were awesome with diverse backgrounds from the Army and Navy. A few veterans retired from law enforcement as well. One high ranking officer spent decades on submarines, retired and joined again.
Victor brought lunch for the group and the two boats anchored at Lake Santa Barbara. The weather was great, the ICW was comfortable while there were high waves on the ocean.
It was an honor and privilege to have these brave veterans aboard. We all had a great time and they mentioned enjoying the peace and relaxation that boating brings to us . You are most welcome to bring your boat out for a few hours or so to help bring joy to others at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Bruce Guttler
